Meet the experienced and friendly doctors and staff who make The Eye Center – VisionSource Asheville the leading provider of vision care products and services in Asheville.

Dr. Paul J. Endry

Dr. Paul Endry has loved Western North Carolina since he first opened his practice here in 1985. Born in West Virginia and growing up in central Ohio, Paul went to The Ohio State University for his doctorate degree. He is active in state and national optometric organizations and was past local president of the Mountain District. He keeps his knowledge up-to-date with continuing education and his association with professional organizations of independent optometrists. He enjoys the collegiate and professional atmosphere among health care providers in the Asheville area as our practice strives to diagnose and treat the health concerns of our patients.

Paul loves hiking, biking, cooking and eating well. His office has been located in the historic Grove Arcade since 2006. He has had the opportunity to provide eye care through various organizations in diverse and needy areas throughout his career. With Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity and AMIGOS de las Americans he served in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Tanzania. He also practiced optometry with U.S. Public Health Services in rural Alaska, flying to villages along the northwestern coast and St. Lawrence Island.

Jessika E. Arena, CPOC

Jessika has been our Office Manager since she moved to Asheville in the Spring of 2008, in 2012 she obtained her Paraoptometric Coding Certification. Jessika would be happy to help you with any of your insurance questions from benefits to billing!

She and her husband Michael are proud parents of Izzy, a Pug-Boston Terrier, and in October 2012 they welcomed their daughter, Guinevere. Jessika and her family enjoy spending their time together traveling, cooking, and being outdoors.





Andrew L. Cressman

Andrew has been working in the optical industry since 2013. Born and raised in the Philadelphia area, he studied history at West Chester University of Pennsylvania and relocated to Asheville in November of 2016.  He is currently enrolled in the North Carolina State Board of Opticians Apprenticeship Program which when upon completion he will become a state licensed optician.

Andrew enjoys playing and watching sports, fitness, fashion, music and exploring all of Asheville.

He loves a challenge and is proficient at fitting specialty lenses and recommending lenses best suited for you.
